Grape: Pinot noir
Region: Medocino County, California
Winemaker notes: At the cool northern extreme of California’s coastal wine region, Mendocino County is known for its elegantly balanced Pinot Noir grapes. Bright garnet in color with berry and cola on the nose, this Pinot Noir is of a medium weight, full-flavored, fruitier in style. Blackberry and black cherry on the palate are complimented by hints of toasty, caramel oak that carry through to a fruity finish with light bramble and herbal notes.
Critical Acclaim: "Aromas lead with a floral perfume and move toward bright red fruits of cranberry and red plum, complemented with notes of chocolate, toasted wood, clove and nutmeg. A solid line of acidity rides through the center of the palate; moderate tannins coat tongue and cheek. The finish is solid" 89 Points Wine Enthusiast
