Grapes: 80-90% Tempranillo & 10-20% blend of Viura and Malvasia
Region: Rioja, Spain
Winemaking: Carbonic maceration in open concrete tank - aged in concrete for 3 months
A lighter, fresher style of Rioja meant for early drinking. Carbonic fermentation in concrete, traditional for the Alavesa subregion, leads to ripe aromas and juicy plum fruit on the palate. Fine tannins and bright acidity make this a great food wine.
